Benefit Concert for CRY - Sep 1, 2007
This variety program was arranged a group of youngsters to raise funds for Child Rights and You (CRY), an organization that helps underprivileged children, especially in India. Rangashree's senior students participated in the program, and performed a Hudo, a Gujarati folk dance.
FOGANA Folk Dance Competition - Aug 4 & 25, 2007
FOGANA, the Federation of Gujarati Associations in North America, held its Western Regional Competition in Anaheim. Rangashree entered groups for two categories in this event - Minor Raas and Senior Folk Dance (performing a Hudo). Both groups advanced to the North America finals, but only the senior students were able to travel to Kansas City for the competition.
Neema Sari Palace Dance Competition - Mar 31, 2007
Two groups from Rangashree took part in this competition. The Junior Folk Dance group performed a Rajasthani wedding dance. The Children's Folk Dance group performed a Raas, and placed first in their division.
